JOB OVERVIEW

On behalf of our reputable Client, a mining company, we are looking to fill the position of Assistant Human Resource Manager. The position is based in Mbeya.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all necessary paperwork, employee communications, benefits maintenance, leave tracking, management reports, workers’ compensation, and return to work programs are completed.
  • Profiling applicants for interviews and assisting in the interviewing process, doing Interviews for new candidates.
  • Responsible for end-to-end compliance, MIS, and Administration.
  • Develop company policies.
  • Handle grievance procedures.
  • Manage dispute resolutions involving unions, management, employees or government agencies, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about contract compliance.
  • Security management.
  • Knowledge of local government laws and local authorities offices.
  • Administration work like pantry services, Stationary records, Courier tracking, Vendor management, Monthly bill verification, etc.
  • Handling full employee lifecycle & Employee grievances.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process of employees for both new positions and replacement within the time frame, implement orientations and onboarding

Requirements:

  •  Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in HR practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business or related area; relevant
  • Both soft, transferable skills and hard skills, such as knowledge of specific software.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
  • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning, handling CMA cases is an added advantage
